Bayern Munich want to see if Harry Kane ‘can be convinced’ of a move away to Tottenham but are waiting until the spring to make their first approaches.
That’s according to the Bayern Insider Podcast, relayed by Fussball Nachrichten, who say there is a plan in place in the corridors of power at Bayern.
They explain that those in charge of the German giants are ‘following a precise plan’ in their effort to sign Kane as the long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski.
However, they believe that the closer to the summer Kane gets without signing a new deal at Tottenham – his current contract expires in 2024 – the ‘greater’ Bayern’s chances of getting him will be.
The plan, therefore, is for Bayern to ‘take a close look’ at the situation in the spring when they will want to see whether the 29-year-old ‘can be convinced’ of a move to Säbener Straße.
At the moment no talks are being held between the player and Bayern or between the Germans and Tottenham and Kane is uninterested anyway as he focuses on the World Cup with England.
Bayern are absolutely interested in him, though, and if he continues to hold out on a new deal with Spurs, they will seriously consider making their move.
