Het Nieuwsblad journalist Pieter-Jan Calcoen appeared on RTBF’s program, Complètement Foot, where he said the Burnley coach has a desire to manage the national team.
The journalist further went into further detail, saying that Kompany’s entourage have informed him the 36-year-old remains focused on his role at Burnley.
“According to the information I have obtained from Vincent Kompany’s entourage, for the moment he would not be interested in the position of coach of De Rode Duivels. He wants to continue to raise the club, to make it progress, he wants to continue his adventure. He is a young coach, he wants to test himself and needs to work daily with a team,” Calcoen explained.
