Liverpool have become the latest club to come forward for Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat.
That’s according to Corriere dello Sport, who say the midfielder’s fine displays for the Serie A side this season and also for Morocco at the 2022 World Cup have drawn attention from top clubs across Europe.
Particular attention needs to be paid to the Premier League, where his name has been doing the rounds for a year. Their title states, ‘everyone wants Amrabat’ and within the report, only Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are tagged.
The newspaper questions what the 26-year-old will do if the Reds were to draw an offer to acquire his signature. It’s claimed the figures at stake are ‘mind-boggling’ compared to the €1.8m per year he receives at the Italian club.
The player’s contract lasts until 2024 and his employer retain an option to extend it by a year.
This makes Fiorentina feel protected to retain the midfielder from a potential assault from Liverpool or another club.
From Amrabat’s entourage, they talk about his willingness to listen primarily to Fiorentina’s project even though polls from England have already begun. This should also please the Serie A side.
