Brighton & Hove Albion agreed a deal with Royale Union Saint-Gilloise for Deniz Undav in January, and he arrived at The Amex in the summer.
The striker joined the Premier League side after managing 27 goals and 13 assists from 41 matches in all competitions for Union Saint-Gilloise last term.
However, the 26-year-old has failed to replicate last season’s form at Brighton. He has only one goal to his name from eight games and is yet to be included in the starting lineup in the Premier League.
Jelle Van Damme, who had spells at Southampton and Wolverhampton Wanderers during his playing career, has urged his former club, Anderlecht, to sign the Brighton attacker in the next window.
Last week, the German admitted that he has ‘no idea’ what the future looks like and did not rule out going out on a loan deal in the winter market.
It remains to be seen whether Undav would return to Union Saint-Gilloise or decide to go elsewhere on a temporary deal from Brighton. If it’s the latter, then Anderlecht stand a chance to sign him.
