In the past few days, we’ve been seeing several stories from the English and the foreign media regarding Chelsea’s search for new members of their structure, as Todd Boehly clearly wants a fresh start at the Stamford Bridge side.
One of the people the Blues reportedly had gone after was RB Salzburg director Christoph Freund, although the German side ended up managing to keep the official at his job there.
Now as Italian outlet Sportitalia comes up with an update on Chelsea’s look for new men, they claim Boehly is set to use the same intermediation for a new target they have.
According to the report, it was an agent, last name Breeze, who tried the deal for Freund, and despite the failure, the Blues are ‘relying’ on him to ‘probe’ their chances of signing Christopher Vivell, who works for RB Leipzig.
The 35-year-old is currently the technical director at the Bundesliga side, and Chelsea’s idea is for him to command the scouting department at the London club.
For now, there’s no information on whether they are about to succeed in that pursuit.
