Atalanta’s Franck Kessie has been linked to several top European clubs since his failed move to Sunderland last summer.
The Ivorian midfielder has been in impressive form for the Serie A club. In England, Everton, Liverpool and Chelsea are among the clubs reportedly interested in Kessie, whilst Juventus and Paris-Saint Germain are also keeping close tabs on him.
According to a latest report from Gazzetta dello Sport, AS Roma have submitted a €25m offer for Kessie in the last 48 hours. The Serie A club are trying to wrap up a deal by tomorrow, so that could beat competition from the likes of Chelsea and Everton.
Gazzetta say Everton have ‘expressed interest’ in signing the player, but that has been claimed of many clubs over the past month.
Roma’s offer to Atalanta includes two of their most promising youth players, and that could be more tempting than anything Everton, or any other English clubs, could put forward unless they’re willing to pay silly money.
The 20-year-old has 7 goals and 2 assists to his name this season in all competitions, and has a contract until 2021 with Atalanta.
