On Wednesday, it was revealed that Lazio were the latest club to join the race to sign Giovani Lo Celso from Tottenham.
The Serie A side were considering entering a battle that is currently comprised of Fiorentina and Villarreal for the Spurs man, whose future seems far away from London.
While no offer had been made from Lazio’s end, it was explained that signing could change a lot in Rome, as the Tottenham man’s arrival would help the club go up a level.
That idea is continued on Thursday, where Corriere dello Sport have another article on the matter.
That’s when it’s explained that Lazio could have an advantage, as Fabio Paratici and Tottenham have ‘excellent relations’ with Claudio Lotito, the Serie A side’s president.
Spurs ‘would favour with the right of redemption’, and Lo Celso is said to be ‘pressing to find a solution quickly’.
Villarreal were apparently in the lead a few days ago, but with no concrete movement since then, perhaps the door has now opened for Lazio?
