Leeds United’s offer for Charles De Ketelaere remains far superior to what AC Milan have put forward.
Milan News report that a meeting was held today in Lugano between officials from both Club Brugge and the Rossoneri, but absolutely nothing changed. Milan didn’t raise their offer from €32-33m including bonuses, and Club Brugge didn’t bring down their insistence that the fixed fee needs to be €35m, presumably with bonuses on top of that.
The player’s desire is to join the Italian champions instead of Jesse Marsch’s side, and whilst his club will let that happen, they won’t do so if it means such a difference in transfer fee.
At the weekend, the 21-year-old asked to be left out of a friendly match, with the current situation distracting him. That, obviously, hasn’t gone down very with some of Club Brugge’s local media.
That absolutely no progress on price has been made in today’s meeting shows how difficult the situation is, and there may still be some hope for Leeds United.
