Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Fábio Silva was restricted to six league starts under Bruno Lage last season and he failed to score a goal or register an assist from 24 games.
In order to have more prominence in the new campaign, the forward completed a season-long loan move to Anderlecht earlier this week.
That doesn’t mean Wolves don’t have the 20-year-old in their future plans. In fact, the Premier League side extended his contract by a further year before letting him join the Belgian club on a temporary deal.
In his first week at the Jupiler Pro League side, the Portugal U21 international has been impressing his new teammates and manager. This was revealed by Mazzu to HLN.
“You can see that he has a lot of talent. Fábio has already left a very good impression this week,” Mazzu explained.
Wolves and the attacker will be hopeful he can maintain the same impression during his loan stay at Anderlecht.
