Brescia are the latest club to be linked with Ternana forward Felipe Avenatti. The 23-year-old looks set to leave the Serie B side on a free transfer in the summer, and has been linked with a move to Leeds United.
TMW have revealed Brescia are showing an interest in Avenatti and are among a number of Italian sides interested in signing the Uruguayan. Avenatti has yet to commit himself to Ternana, and with no sign of extending his contract the player looks set to leave the club, along with teammate Cesar Falletti.
Last week there were claims Cagliari were also keen on Avenatti, whilst Crotone and Pescara have been linked in the past. Outside of Italy, Leeds United have also been showing an interest following reports they made an approach for the attacker in the last window.
Leeds United have been tracking Avenatti for the past 18 months after previous attempts to sign the South American. Given Avenatti’s contract situation he could still be an option for Leeds United boss Garry Monk as he looks to add to his attack, especially with reports West Ham United and Sunderland are interested in Chris Wood.
