Prior to his move to Paris Saint-Germain, where he followed Unai Emery from Sevilla, Grzegorz Krychowiak was heavily, and we mean heavily, linked with Arsenal.
Rumours of release clauses were a weekly thing for a while, and even a new contract only saw Manchester City getting linked, probably because they have more money.
However, the Polish midfielder chose to head to Paris where he has since struggled to find time on the pitch, and the rumours concerning a move to either the Emirates or the Etihad have reemerged.
The alleged Arsène Wenger and Pep Guardiola target apparently told people close to him he felt he didn’t have the required ability to make it at Paris Saint-Germain, the player was even ‘resigned’ at one point that he would have to leave.
However, a sudden change of heart means the defensive midfielder has decided to ‘fight like a dog at training’ in order to break into Unai Emery’s plans, who seems to prefer Blaise Matuidi, Marco Verratti, Thiago Motta and Adrien Rabiot when possible.
It seems an exit this January is unlikely as things stand, but if things don’t improve over the next six months for the Poland international, a transfer in the summer could be a real possibility.
And we can guarantee you both Arsenal and Manchester City will be once again linked.
That’s how these things work.
