Praised by Bruno Lage of late, Leander Dendoncker remains a name that is linked with a move away from Wolverhampton Wanderers these days.

The Belgian’s contract expires next season, even if Wolves have the option to extend it by another year, which has alerted one club in particular: Lazio.

The Serie A side are looking to restructure their midfield as they prepare for the sale of Sergej Milinković-Savić, and Dendoncker could be part of their plans.

The Wolves man’s versatility certainly could be of use, and it’s no secret that Lazio have been after him for a while.

Il Tempo bring that back to the fore on Thursday, reminding their readers the Italian club have liked him ‘since his times at Anderlecht’, and despite Ruben Loftus-Cheek being the favourite to replace the aforementioned Serbian, there is a need to be ‘attentive to’ the Dendoncker situation.

That’s because his name could ‘come back into fashion’ this summer, as Claudio Lotito and co. turn their attention to the transfer market.

Wolves have been warned…
