Last month, Gazzetta dello Sport stated that Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has made an ‘explicit request’ to the north London club to sign Weston McKennie in the next window.
Earlier this week, we covered claims made by Calciomercato that the midfielder is ‘requested’ by the Premier League side, while Juventus have a ‘clear plan in mind’ for him. There was no mention of what the Serie A side’s plan was for the 23-year-old.
McKennie suffered an injury in February and is unlikely to make an appearance again for the Turin club this season. The setback so far has had no impact on the reports linking him to Spurs.
According to Tutto Juve, Tottenham Hotspur ‘would be ready to offer’ around €30m for the former Schalke man, who is a target for the former Chelsea manager.
Although Spurs seem to be willing to make a proposal for the American, the website adds ‘it is difficult’ for Massimiliano Allegri’s side to ‘decide to sell him’ in the summer.
