Wilfred Ndidi had an excellent debut for Leicester City as Claudio Ranieri’s men came back from a goal down to beat Everton 2-1 in the FA Cup. Ndidi looks like he could take to English football quickly and that will be a huge boost for Claudio Ranieri, and the 20 year old footballer.
Denier thinks it’s an example of Ndidi’s special character and attitude and has told the Belgian media about the call.
Quoted by Het Belang van Limburg, Denier also told a story of Ndidi’s past, to further example the 20 year old’s good character: “I once went to a supporters’ evening with him. He asked suddenly in the car – ‘Coach, what should I do to become a better football player?’ – It’s not certain that even once before someone had asked me that.”
Ranieri and Leicester were very eager to sign Ndidi and have him ready as soon as possible. The deal was agreed before the January window opened, and Ndidi also had his medical in advance.
