There’s a lot of speculation right now regarding the future of Nicolo Zaniolo, and it’s quite clear that Tottenham will be in the mix if the player ends up on the transfer market.
AS Roma’s director, Tiago Pinto, recently explained he couldn’t guarantee that the midfielder would be at the club next season, which sent alarm bells around Europe ringing.
Juventus and Tottenham were immediately linked, with Manchester United soon following, but it’s the first two Calciomercato.it touch on on Thursday afternoon.
The Italian website explain the Serie A side are trying to get a head start on the competition, with a new meeting with Zaniolo’s entourage expected this month.
Right now, Roma ‘don’t consider the renewal’ of their player a ‘priority’ and are only thinking about that at a later date.
Not only that, but there is a ‘willingness to listen to possible offers of €40m’.
As for Tottenham in all this, it’s made clear ‘the admiration of Fabio Paratici has been known to all for some time’, suggesting the Spurs director of football would happily gift the player to Antonio Conte if he could.
And he might very well get that chance in the summer.
