For the past few days, reports from Brazil have been detailing European interest in signing Palmeiras youngster Endrick, who’s been shining at the Copa São Paulo.
It was claimed that Manchester City got in touch with the player’s entourage and were preparing a ‘truckload of money’ for the 15-year-old, who doesn’t even have a professional contract yet.
That meant he could leave Palmeiras for only training compensation this year. However, in a chat with journalist Jorge Nicola, Endrick’s father has ruled that out.
Nicola says there’s already an agreement for the contract, which will only be made official in the summer, when Endrick turns 16. Then Manchester City or other interested clubs will have to negotiate with Palmeiras, who certainly won’t let him leave for little.
The striker has four goals in two games in the Copa São Paulo, which is a U21 tournament this year, but following a Covid infection, he may not enter the pitch in the competition anymore.
