Over the past week or so, the idea that Ola Aina, currently at Torino, could return to England has been doing the rounds.
On Monday, it was stated the player ‘can say goodbye’ to the Serie A side, because he is no longer considered as indispensable as he once was, and Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United were the club being pushed as an option for him in the Premier League.
While he has played a decent amount, he has featured less and less under Ivan Juric, and is now on international duty with the Nigeria national team.
They have also reached a deal with the Rome side, but Calciomercato in Italy explain they are now waiting to see if Genoa, where he is on loan, will be happy to let him leave.
Should all this happen, Torino ‘will let Ola Aina leave’ in January, and he has received ‘enquiries from England’.
Among those, it’s pointed out they have come ‘in particular from Leeds’, who are interested in repatriating the London born defender to his country of birth, and more specifically to Elland Road.
