Anthony Martial’s agent has already stated the forward wants to leave Manchester United and Ralf Rangnick left him out of the squad in recent ties because of the player’s desire to seek an exit.

Sevilla showed interest in the 26-year-old, but their loan offer wasn’t convincing enough for the Red Devils and they rejected the Andalusian club’s proposal.

Over the last few days, Barcelona have been named as a suitor for the former AS Monaco man. The La Liga side’s desire is to sign either Martial’s teammate, Edinson Cavani, or Álvaro Morata, currently on loan at Juventus from Atlético Madrid.

Cavani has less than six months left on his contract and Sport now state the Catalan club received a ‘no’ from United to let the Uruguayan leave on a free transfer in January, when they had a meeting with the Premier League side.

During the conversations with Manchester United, Barcelona ‘learned first-hand Martial is on the market’ and ‘will be loaned out for sure’ this month.

It’s even claimed the France international’s environment ‘would be delighted’ to see him join the Blaugrana, but Barca ‘do not trust his adaptation’ chances.
