La Liga side Malaga are reportedly in negotiations to sign the striker Adalberto Penaranda from Watford on a loan deal until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old is currently on loan at Udinese, but due to his poor form at the Italian club they would accept to cut the spell short as Watford also like the idea of sending the player somewhere else.
The information is published by the Spanish newspaper AS today, who claim the transfer is pretty close to happening.
Penaranda signed for Watford from Udinese for £9m last February. He spent the rest of the last season on loan at Granada, and was later loaned to Udinese during the summer window.
But he isn’t getting many chances at the Serie A side, having played only 184 minutes in a total of seven appearances this season.
Other Spanish sides such as Sevilla have also been linked to the player, but AS seems pretty confident that the deal with Malaga is likely to be reached soon.
