Arsenal in picture to sign player who ‘must find solution’ in January – ‘Nothing advanced’ with Gunners

Two days ago, we relayed news from Spain that Philippe Coutinho has been ‘offered’ to Arsenal and he prefers a move to the Emirates ahead of other clubs.

It was also explained the Gunners are now ‘open to talk’ for a potential deal in the winter market.

For the past few weeks, It’s been made clear the 29-year-old’s high salary has become a problem for Barcelona and they want to send him away, at least on loan, in January.

Thursday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo explain the attacking midfielder has dropped down the pecking order at the Camp Nou. Therefore, Coutinho ‘must find a solution’, if he wants to go to 2022 World Cup with Brazil.

The South American’s agents have ‘very good connections’ in England, including with the Gunners. The representatives are working discreetly to find a club for their client, that can meet his sporting needs and also take care of at least part of his current salary.

It’s claimed Coutinho’s agents are ‘working’ on the proposal received from Mikel Arteta’s side, but, as of now, ‘there is nothing advanced’ with the north London club.

That, however, has not stopped Arsenal from convincing the ex-Inter Milan man to join them in the winter market.
