Back at the weekend, Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte broke the news saying Corinthians made an approach for the signing of Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani.
Even though the player’s brother and agent denied that there were negotiations underway, he admitted that they’ll listen to offers, as the contract with the Red Devils expires at the end of the season.
Now Globo Esporte comes up with an update on the situation, as Corinthians apparently received a response from Cavani’s camp.
Corinthians also heard about the big salary requested by Cavani. That isn’t a surprise, so they now look for commercial partners who could help them afford the figures needed.
Globo Esporte adds that there are many clubs from Europe making approaches for Cavani. Meanwhile, the Brazilian club believe the proximity to Uruguay could help them to convince the player, and they are talking the negotiations very calmly.
