West Ham United could make another move for Sevilla star Youssef En Nesyri in January, after trying to get him last year.
That’s according to Fichajes, who say they are one of three clubs ‘who are after him’ in the winter window.
The website explains that West Ham offered €35m for En Nesyri in the January transfer window last year, but that was rejected by Sevilla, who demanded €50m for their man.
Their interest has not gone away, though, and David Moyes side, who are in a ‘very sweet moment’ and one of the ‘sensations’ of the Premier League, are looking to build on an impressive campaign so far.
One of their main priorities is finding an alternative to Michail Antonio, whose superb displays have helped propel them to where they are at this moment in time.
That could be curtailed if he were to pick up and injury, and so ‘it is not ruled out’ that they revive their interest and try to sign En Nesyri in January once again, with their ‘dream of returning to Europe at stake’.
Whether Sevilla would be open to a sale isn’t mentioned, although it has been stated elsewhere in Spain that they wouldn’t.
That can always change if the right money is offered, of course, so perhaps it is time for West Ham to get working on that and bettering the €35m they offered a year ago.
