West Ham have had a €10m offer rejected for Toulouse star Martin Braithwaite, report RMC Sport.
It’s been reported Toulouse would rather add to their options in January, and have no intention of letting Braithwaite leave the club.
There is no mention if West Ham would return with a bigger offer for Braithwaite, but it’s no surprise if the London club would want to sign a forward in January, with Simone Zaza expected to leave. The Italian hasn’t settled in England since his arrival in the summer, and right now his likeliest destination looks to be Valencia.
The Danish international signed a contract renewal in September, and that makes it a little bit more difficult for West Ham. Reports in France suggest Ligue 1 club Rennes are also keen on signing the 25-year-old, and West Ham must be wary of other interested clubs.
West Ham already submitting offers would be no surprise, given their summer chase for a striker. The Premier League went from target to target to target during the last window, and that scenario could be repeated this time too.
