Now that Eddie Howe has finally been appointed as the Newcastle United manager, all eyes will be turned on the January window and the signings the newly-rich Magpies could make.
The likes of Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland will have to wait for a while, but that doesn’t mean the St James’ Park residents can’t bring in some big names at an affordable price.
One of the ones circulating of late has been that of France international Adrien Rabiot, currently being pushed towards an exit by Juventus.
We’ve covered a couple of articles on the matter already this week, and Friday is no different, with Corriere dello Sport continuing to push the story.
In fact, the belief is that ‘an offer between €10-15m could be enough’ to convince Juventus to let him leave, thus freeing a nice chunk of salary on the wage bill and filling the club coffers from a player they managed to bring in on a free.
As for Newcastle, they could make the Frenchman their first figurehead signing, as the talent is there.
It just needs to be used properly.
