Catalan newspaper Sport have this week got a thing about Joao Cancelo. The Valencia player has been on their front page for the past two days, and the idea is for Barcelona to make a move and sign him.
Moses is the man of the moment for Chelsea. Antonio Conte converting the player into a wingback and giving him chances to shine has been fully repaid. The 26 year old Nigeria international is enjoying his life at Chelsea and there appears little reason for him to move elsewhere.
Soares may well be more tempted should Barcelona come knocking on Southampton’s door. At 25 years of age, Portuguese international Soares could be forgiven for seeing a Barcelona switch as a great opportunity.
However, Barcelona would be looking for good value, and Claude Puel would surely make sure Southampton didn’t provide that.
Sport’s obsession with Barcelona signing a right back is long standing and won’t be deterred. Soares and Moses are among their chosen men so these links are only likely to continue.
