Barcelona have held ‘very advanced negotiations’ with Edinson Cavani but need to work with Manchester United on the deal.
That’s according to EsportsRAC1 journalist Gerard Romero, who says the two clubs are working to make the transfer happen.
Cavani signed a new one-year extension at Old Trafford earlier this summer, extending his stay at Manchester United until the end of this season.
He had expected to be the club’s first-choice striker this year, but that has suddenly changed after Manchester United’s surprise move to bring Cristiano Ronaldo back to the club.
Romero reports that Barcelona are keen to take him to the Camp Nou, and they have held ‘very advanced negotiations’ over the move.
They are now ‘working’ with Manchester United on the transfer, but it is not a simple operation to get done, and ‘a lot of work’ needs to be done with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and co if it is to get over the line before the window shuts tonight.
