Ever since Maurizio Sarri took over at Lazio, Joaquin Correa has been on the transfer market, available for any willing to meet the Serie A side’s asking price.
Over the course of the past month or so, Tottenham, Arsenal, Everton, Leicester City and even West Ham have all been named as suitors, but no suitable offer has ever been made.
The Gunners are the only ones reported to have made an actual move, but their bid wasn’t deemed sufficient, meaning the door is wide open for his signing.
Spurs continue to be mentioned whenever Correa is brought up, since they could do with some extra firepower were Harry Kane to leave, and Lazio want to sell sooner rather than later.
The idea would be for his sale to fund some arrivals, but until a €30m bid is made, which is what Claudio Lotito and Igli Tare are looking for, nothing will be done.
His agent is reportedly ‘intensely working’ to find a club willing to do that, but so far, nothing.
