Martin Odegaard potentially returning to Arsenal has been covered widely in the Spanish media over the past few days, with claims of the potential transfer going back months.
Carlo Ancelotti has made it clear to the Norwegian, both privately and publicly, that there’s huge competition for places and he’ll face a fight for minutes should he continue at Real Madrid.
Odegaard wanted assurances he’d get regular starts for Los Blancos, and he hasn’t got anything like that from the Italian manager.
They say Arsenal are ‘negotiating’ his signing, and the insinuation is that Real Madrid will have to come down from their €50m asking price.
The Gunners ‘will offer’ €30m, according to the Spanish claims, and if that doesn’t bring Arsenal any joy then they’ll try to sign Odegaard on a loan deal instead.
