Valencia regional newspaper Super Deporte report on Friday that their local club quite fancy signing Vincent Iborra from Sunderland.
The player is happy where he is, both off the pitch and on it and it would take a big change for a transfer to become attractive.
Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak is set to join PSG and reunite with old manager Unai Emery, and that makes Iborra even more important to his current club.
This is a transfer that shouldn’t happen, but there are increasing reports which seem to be softening on the idea. That’s not to say anyone is reporting an Iborra exit as likely, just that it’s not being laughed out of town.
The regional Seville press cover Valencia interest, with Estadio Deportivo stating the club would have to battle Sunderland, and reiterate that Iborra is happy where he is and wants to work under new manager Jorge Sampaoli.
Sampaoli had been looking for a new club since deciding to vacate the Chile job, and Sevilla is a great opportunity.
