One of the latest sensations of Turkish football are Osmanlıspor, along with league leaders Medipol Başakşehir. They finished 6th in their first ever Super Lig campaign last season, and they also recently topped their Europa League group, ahead of La Liga side Villarreal.
This has led to speculation over the future of their prized assets, with one of those being Badou N’Diaye. Last week there claims in the Turkish media Crystal Palace were interested in the Senegalese midfielder.
However, Osmanlıspor General Manager Ender Yurtgüven cooled these rumours, at least for now by saying they are not going to sell their star players N’Diaye or Aminu Umar… or anybody else.
Yurtgüven spoke to AA and said: ”About N’Diaye… There is nothing. Nothing from Crystal Palace, nothing from the big Turkish 3 (Besiktas, Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray). In fact, we do not want to sell him. We want to work as a team and maintain our form.
”We want to do even better in the Europa League. This has been a great season so far for us. But there’s no reason we can’t do better. We’ll try to do more, so none of our star players are allowed to leave.”
The 26-year old Senegalese midfielder has been brilliant so far at Osmanlıspor, and he would potentially be a fantastic signing for Alan Pardew. A fee of around €8million also seems a bargain considering his ability.
N’Diaye signed for Osmanlıspor from Bodo Glimt for only €350K and has had a hand in 22 goals (16 scored, 6 assist) in the Turkish Super League in just 18 months.
