One of Montpellier’s most consistent performers this season following a bad knee injury that saw him miss most of last year’s campaign, Morgan Sanson is slowly making a name for himself in Ligue 1, with a few clubs in the league pushing to acquire his services, including Marseille, Monaco or current leaders Nice.

However, according to Le10 Sport in France, interest from the Premier League is slowly starting to appear, with Bournemouth sending scouts at the weekend to watch the 22-year-old midfielder.

The French website reveal as an exclusive that Eddie Howe is taking a good look at Sanson, and the young manager will have undoubtedly been thrilled with his scout’s report as the Montpellier player was one of the key men in Montpellier’s 3-0 dismantling of Paris Saint-Germain.

With three goals and six assists already to his name after only 16 appearances, the central midfielder, who picked up two final passes against Paris Saint-Germain, looks to have put his ruptured cruciate ligament behind him.

Having played just under 100 Ligue 1 games already, Sanson doesn’t exactly lack experience, even at such a young age, and with an ambitious team like Bournemouth keen to acquire his services, without placing too much pressure on him, the move could be an ideal one for the midfielder.

Le10 state that if an offer of over €10m were to land on Montpellier’s desk, the French club would find it hard to refuse, even in January, having already told the player he could leave were this scenario to play out.

The ball is in your court, Eddie.
