Earlier today, we covered a couple of articles regarding the future of Granit Xhaka at Arsenal.
Both Corriere dello Sport and Corriere della Sera had some information on the current state of the deal, with the former saying it would be hard to get anything done before the start of the Euros, while the latter believed Tiago Pinto, AS Roma’s general director, wanted to get it done by the end of the week.
Well, Il Tempo have an article focusing a bit more on the Switzerland international’s future, and they are wholly optimistic.
For them, the deal is ‘one step away’ from getting done, as the first summer signing of the José Mourinho era in Rome is ‘closer’.
While there is still a ‘definitive agreement’ to be found, the ‘preliminary conditions for the white smoke’ could be found ‘quickly’.
That’s far more positive news for all involved, including Xhaka, who has been sending ‘strong signals’ to both Roma and Mourinho about being open to the move.
