Leicester City and Newcastle United have their eyes set on Schalke’s Ozan Kabak for this summer.
The defender spent the second half of the season on loan at Liverpool and the Reds brought him in the winter market to resolve the injury crisis, especially in the hear of their back four.
Jürgen Klopp’s side were give an option to make the 21-year-old’s stay permanent at the end of the season, but they haven’t exercised it and are unlikely to take it after adding Ibrahima Konaté to their squad next season.
The German club have been relegated from the Bundesliga and therefore, 13 players will be sold or allowed to leave Schalke in the summer.
Bild state: ‘After Liverpool did not use the purchase option, it is now Leicester and Newcastle’s turn’.
If either of the Foxes or the Tyneside club want to acquire the 21-year-old’s services, they will to pay €25m.
