Leeds United are eyeing a move for Stade Brest full-back Romain Perraud this summer, should Ezgjan Alioski leave as expected.
Alioski is out of contract at Elland Road this summer and has so far failed to sign a new deal to extend his stay at the club.
Indeed, there have been numerous reports that he will be on his way out of the club instead, with Turkey seemingly his most likely destination.
That would leave Leeds with something of a hole to fill at left-back, given Alioski and Stuart Dallas are the only options for Marcelo Bielsa are present, aside from 21-year-old Leif Davis.
He’s impressed in Ligue 1 this season with seven assists and three goals in 36 games so far, and that has earned him interest as a result.
In fact, according to Genuardi’s information, Leeds have made the 23-year-old a ‘priority’ should Alioski leave, and a move is ‘on the right track’.
He states that ‘discussions are ongoing’ between the two clubs but fails to share any information regarding an asking price or anything of that nature.
Perraud’s current contract with Brest runs until 2025, though, so Brest have no need to sell and are likely to push for as big a profit as they can on the £1.8m they paid Nice for him in 2019.
Those details remain to be seen, but it seems Leeds are pushing ahead with their plans for the summer and have found the replacement for Alioski already.
