Surprising claims from the German media today are saying that a few Premier League clubs are going after Borussia Dortmund manager Edin Terzic.

Most of the noise is about interest from Tottenham Hotspur, who are considering the 38-year-old coach to replace José Mourinho, according to Bild.

But it turns out there are two more English sides who are reportedly chasing Terzic. Those are Crystal Palace and Newcastle United.

The Eagles and the Magpies are named along with Spurs in this race, and there are no clear claims on who’d be likelier to land the manager, despite the obvious hype for the job at the North London side.

Terzic was an assistant coach at Borussia Dortmund until taking the job as a caretaker manager in December. He could be back to his old position in the summer, and that’s why his future is uncertain.

There’s one fact that could perhaps favour Premier League sides, and that’s the claim that Terzic turned down a chance to take charge of Eintracht Frankfurt.

Bild claims that following the success of Jurgen Klopp and Thomas Tuchel, German managers are now in ‘high demand’ in England, so it’s no surprise that Terzic gets these offers. The outlet is full of praise towards the manager, claiming he’s ‘young, eloquent, emotional, speaks fluent English and knows the Premier League from his time at West Ham’.

His decision, however, should still take a while, as Terzic is reportedly waiting for the end of the season before thinking about his future.
