With so many restrictions currently in place when it comes to travelling, multiple clubs have had to play games in neutral venues over the past few months because governments haven’t allowed them in.
However, when it comes to Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Willian José, going from one country to another appears to be quite easy.
El Diario Vasco in Spain report on Monday that the player ‘has taken advantage of this weekend off to return to San Sebastián’, since the striker isn’t near the Brazil national team these days.
They explain the forward ‘has not hesitated to return to what had been him home until January’, when he was loaned out to Wolves by Real Sociedad following the Raúl Jiménez’s injury.
Why and how the player has been allowed to return to Spain, when international travel is on hold for most with a few exceptions aside, isn’t explained, but it’s clear he’s somehow managed it.
Since swapping the Basque country for Wolverhampton, Willian José has managed just one assist in 10 appearances and failed to find the back of the net.
Maybe he left his shooting boots at his old house and quickly nipped back to get them?
