Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Rafa Mir has admitted he will have to make a decision about his future at the club come the summer.
The striker is currently enjoying a loan spell with Spanish side Huesca, whom he joined in search of regular first-team football.
He’s found that in Spain, with 27 appearances and seven goals to his name in La Liga so far this season.
His loan deal is the third he has been on since joining Wolves in 2018, having also spent time with Las Palmas and Nottingham Forest.
The move expires in the summer but includes an option for Huesca to make it permanent should they wish to do so.
If not, Mir will find himself back at Wolves, where he will have to make a decision about his future as his contract at Molineux expires in 2022.
It’s something he’s acutely aware of but insists he isn’t focusing on right now, despite several top sides having been linked with moves.
“I’m not thinking about that now,” he told Sport.
“It’s true that I will have to make a decision because I have one year left on my contract with Wolverhampton, but I’m thinking about the day to day, about continuing to show what a footballer I am, and above all, about the game against Barça.
“When the time comes, we will sit down together to see what is best for my future.
“It’s good that I’m being linked with big clubs, but as I said before, I’m not thinking about this situation.
“This summer, I will have to decide which way I will go… We will see what happens.”
