The week started with Argentine newspaper Olé claiming Edinson Cavani should leave Manchester United for Boca Juniors in the summer, and the player’s father claiming there’s a 60% chance of it happening.

Those stories were followed by claims, mostly from the Uruguayan media, saying things are far from sorted, as it’s actually likelier the player will stay at Old Trafford for a couple more years.

Well, that didn’t intimidate Olé, as they stick to their information and bring a short story on the Red Devils’ star.

The newspaper brings a sensationalist headline saying ‘Cavani, not even on the bench’, as the striker wasn’t fit enough to face Milan in the Europa League on Thursday.

Regarding the transfer to Boca Juniors, Olé states that the player is now ‘closer’ to the Argentine side than to staying at Manchester United.

Even though Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said in a press conference this week that Cavani’s situation isn’t defined yet, the newspaper writes that the manager talked ‘as told by the manuals’.

They add that Boca Juniors remain very attentive to the situation, as the player’s wish is still to join the Buenos Aires side, and he can do it for free as his contract with Manchester United expires in the summer.
