Over the past few years, we’ve covered a lot of interest in Chelsea’s Oscar, mostly from Juventus, yet the Brazilian attacking midfielder never really looked like moving.
Described multiple times by the Italian media as Max Allegri’s ‘ideal’ attacking midfielder to play in his favoured 4-3-1-2 formation, the former Sao Paulo star always looked comfortable at Stamford Bridge.
Since the arrival of Antonio Conte, the 25-year-old hasn’t really been seen in the league since mid-September, with his last start coming in 2-1 defeat at home to Liverpool.
Sure, a start in the 2-1 loss to West Ham in the EFL Cup also counts, but otherwise, he’s spent most of his time on the bench.
This lack of time on pitch has, of course, led to some new rumours to surface, and Guerin Sportivo (GS), an Italian football magazine, claim that both Inter Milan and AC Milan are after Oscar.
The duo have allegedly already enquired about the player, and Oscar is said to be ‘hoping’ something gets going.
Not only are the two Serie A club after him, but GS also explain that a few clubs in England and in Spain would be interested in the attacking midfielder’s services were they to be made available on the transfer market.
The pair have been linked with Oscar in the past sporadically, but with the player always featuring heavily for Chelsea, it was never really believable.
The biggest problem for these clubs is that a January sale seems highly unlikely, mostly due to the fact they probably won’t want to spend the money needed to convince Chelsea to let him.
Considering he was bought for around £21m and has two years left on his contract, he could be rather expensive.
