Bayer Leverkusen are in talks with Leicester City over a move for Demarai Gray this month but are yet to reach a deal for the winger.
Gray is out of favour at the King Power Stadium, having managed just one league appearance under Brendan Rodgers this season.
His contract is up at the end of the campaign, and he is widely expected to leave Leicester this month, particularly as it is their last opportunity to receive a transfer fee for him.
The winger is believed to be chasing a move as well, and Sport 1 say Bayer Leverkusen are willing to offer him a switch to Germany.
They are ‘already in negotiations’ with Leicester over a move, but they are yet to find a breakthrough in the negotiations.
That’s because Leicester want at least €2m for Gray, a price which is too much for Leverkusen, despite the fact they were keen on him when he was valued at €12m in the summer.
The German side are presumably eyeing up an even bigger bargain given the player’s contract situation, but it seems they are one to keep an eye on as we enter the final stages of this winter window.
