While Ole Gunnar Solskjaer still tries to find his best starting XI at Manchester United, some players have definitely been pushed to one side by the Norwegian.
One of those is Jesse Lingard, who has had to make do with scraps of minutes as he tries to convince his manager he deserves more time on the pitch.
He’s yet to do so, which has led to rumours about the United academy graduate potentially leaving his childhood club, with a loan the likeliest move in January.
His agent, Mino Raiola, has already started throwing his client’s name around, according to Corriere dello Sport, whose contract at Old Trafford is set to expire next summer.
However, just like they did with Paul Pogba, Manchester United have the option to extend it by a year until 2022, thus giving themselves more time to either convince him to renew or find him a new club.
Regarding a new contract, it’s said he has ‘no intention of renewing’, leading Raiola to ‘signal his situation to Inter and Milan’.
We’ll have to see if anything comes of it, but the super agent appears to be working on two exits at Manchester United these days.
