Wolverhampton Wanderers star Adama Traorè says he considers it a ‘wasted day’ if he hasn’t improved in some way.
The flying forward is earning rave reviews in Spain this week after a starring performance on his debut for the Spanish national side last night.
His display earned him plaudits from across Spain, with newspaper AS leading the charge this morning by describing him as ‘the bomb’ and giving him front-page status in their coverage of the game.
Of course, Premier League fans, and particularly those from Wolves, are well aware of the forward’s talents given he’s been starring for them since arriving from Middlesbrough in 2018.
The two years since have seen him enjoy significant improvement, something he says he is constantly working on.
“Matches against great teams like City always attract attention,” he told Mundo Deportivo.
As most will know, it’s been a rocky road to the top for Traoré, who was predicted for big things after starting his career at Barcelona.
He would fail to establish himself with the Spanish giants, though, making just four appearances for the senior side before moving to Aston Villa in 2015 and working his way up from there.
Interestingly, his call-up to the Spain squad has seen him meeting with the latest hot prospect from the Barcelona system in Ansu Fati.
And the Wolves star says the two are in constant conversation together given their shared history.
“We talk about everything with him,” he added.
“We had known each other for a long time at the quarry. We comment on the times we have spent together at Barça.”
