Queens Park Rangers are close to announcing the signing of Chris Willock from Benfica, according to reports from Portugal today.

Newspaper O Jogo claims the winger has ‘everything agreed’ to join the Championship side on a permanent move.

QPR are reportedly spending €1m on the signing, and will let the Eagles keep the percentage for a future transfer.

Willock had been linked to several Championship sides this year, including Cardiff City, Huddersfield Town and Swansea City. It was recently claimed that the Terriers failed to agree personal terms with him.

Chris Willock is a product of Arsenal’s academy, and left the Gunners to join Benfica on a free move in 2017.

He couldn’t get many minutes at the Lisbon side, and that’s why he moved back to England in 2019.

He first went to West Brom on a six-month loan, then spent the rest of the season at Huddersfield Town.

There are still no details on the length of his contract with QPR, or on when the move will be made official.
