Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho was, once again, in top form against Watford yesterday at Anfield, as he scored a goal and assisted another.
The Brazilian has been in impressive form this season, and has six goals and six assists in 12 matches.
While many believe the 24-year-old is currently the best player in the Premier League, Spanish and French media continue to link him with a move away from Merseyside, despite the Reds sitting at the top of the standings.
Yesterday, we reported Real Madrid’s interest in Coutinho, as it was stated Zidane is a big fan of the Brazilian. According to a latest report on Diario Gol, Zidane has informed Florentino Perez his desire of bringing Coutinho to Santiago Bernabeu.
It’s been reported Zidane has followed Coutinho since his time at Brazilian club Vasco da Gama, before he moved to Europe.
Diario Gol say Colombian star James Rodriguez doesn’t fit in Zidane’s plans, and that Coutinho could replace him at the club.
At the moment, Real Madrid are facing a transfer ban for the next two transfer windows, and are not allowed to register players until 2018, but they have submitted an appeal.
Diario Gol is Barcelona based, and they may well be simply trying to wind Real Madrid up over James Rodriguez.
if there is any truth then maybe Liverpool should present a counter-offer to Real Madrid, asking for James Rodriguez plus cash.
