It’s all going very well for Liverpool at this moment, except for the fact that one of their best players is being linked to every top European club.
The Brazilian star needs no introduction, Philippe Coutinho’s brilliant start to the season means he is subject to several transfer rumours.
With 5 goals and 5 assists to his name in 11 appearances this season, the 24-year-old has been linked to Barcelona, Real Madrid and Paris-Saint Germain by the Spanish and French media.
According to Ok Diario in Spain, Zidane is in love with Coutinho, Barcelona believe he is the next Iniesta, whilst Paris-Saint Germain have identified him as the man to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the club.
The Brazilian signed for Liverpool in 2013 for €13m, and Ok Diario believe €75m would be enough to take him away from Merseyside.
Liverpool made a profit from transfers during the summer, and don’t really need to sell their best players at the moment to raise money.
Also, Coutinho is still just 24, and Liverpool very well know he could improve even further in the future.
The Brazilian has his best years ahead of him, and it’s very unlikely the Reds will want to part ways with him so easily, especially with them doing well at the moment.
The likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Paris-Saint Germain might come knocking in the near future, but Liverpool can resist the temptation to sell Coutinho at the moment, if they want to.
Much will depend on the player’s will.
