Simone Zaza has failed to find the back of the net in nine appearances for West Ham, and that has obviously put his future in doubt at the Premier League club.

West Ham would be forced to pay €20m to Juventus should Zaza make a certain number of appearances, and that has made things even more complicated.

According to a latest report on Rai Sport (via Tutto Napoli), Napoli are keen on bringing Zaza back to Italy in January, but his wages remains an issue for the Serie A club.

Zaza reportedly earns €3.5m/ season net at West Ham, and Napoli are reluctant to match it. It’s been reported AC Milan are also interested in signing Zaza, and could send Carlos Bacca to West Ham.

That obviously remains to be seen as the Colombian was reluctant on signing for the London club during the summer transfer window, and it’s a bit unlikely things have changed now with West Ham not really doing well at the moment.

If they had been then they may have stood a chance, Bacca didn’t get the Champions League move he wanted, and this season has so far been more complicated for him than last.

Milan’s plan would once again be to cash in on Bacca by sending him to West Ham, then spending less on Zaza and having money left over for other reinforcements.
