As you may have seen, Leeds United continued their summer spending spree today with the capture of Crysencio Summerville from Feyenoord.
The youngster has arrived at Elland Road from the Dutch side after first being linked a few weeks ago, with Leeds continuing their focus on signing young players for the future.
The official announcement from the club states the 18-year-old has arrived for an undisclosed fee, preferring to keep the finances quiet.
However, according to NOS, the actual fee that Feyenoord will receive in the deal is ‘approximately one million euros’.
On the move, the newspaper explains that Summerville had dreamed of ‘breaking through’ at De Kuip but had decided not to extend his contract with the Dutch club over fears he would get ‘too little playing time’ and hinder his development.
Thus he has decided to make the move to Leeds and get himself experience working under a ‘top trainer’ in Bielsa, with it stated that the Argentine coach is ‘crazy’ about the 18-year-old winger.
