On Monday, we covered claims from Italy that Rodrigo De Paul isn’t keen on joining Leeds United this summer.
La Nazione said the Udinese player is ‘not particularly happy’ with Leeds as a destination, and he feels the same negative way about Russia’s Zenit.
Then social media went crazy, as the player’s verified account appeared to reply to a tweet about the Premier League club, and made it clear he’d like to sign for them.
Soon after, his Twitter account was deleted.
What that means is in the eye of the beholder, and there’s a few snippets in Italy today about the situation.
The €40m figure is again pushed by other Italian outlets, and it’s made clear nobody has come close to it.
And that appears to be that as it stands. Udinese are sticking to their valuation, and unless they wobble or someone matches it, it doesn’t seem relevant what De Paul desires.
