Thursday’s edition of La Stampa has the latest on Lucas Torreira’s potential Arsenal exit this summer.
Not long after the midfielder arrived in England, there were claims he was finding it hard to settle and would look to return to Italy at the earliest opportunity.
Torino are currently the club being linked the most and La Stampa report, via TMW, that Arsenal and the Serie A side are thinking about a deal which would see Torreira move on loan, with a €25m purchase obligation.
Both figures are likely to be after tax.
If the first year of the move was a loan, then it’s hoped the Gunners would make up the difference for that period.
Clearly, Arsenal aren’t going to be happy about paying any of Torreira’s wages once he’s left the club, and at the very least the player himself would be expected to take a hit and receive less money.
