Lazio are unlikely to make a move to bring Felipe Anderson back to the club from West Ham, but Manuel Lanzini could be of interest to them.

That’s according to intermediary Vincenzo Morabito, who commented on the situation in a recent interview with Noi Biancocelesti.

Rumours about the West Ham star returning to his former club began earlier this month when he claimed in an interview that the Italian side were ‘always in my heart’.

That was followed by several reports in Italy that stated Anderson was considered to be on his way out of West Ham this summer and that a return to Lazio should not be ‘underestimated’.

So far there have been no official movements on that front, but the sentiment has been that a move could happen and the player would more than welcome it.

Morabito, though, has suggested that won’t be the case and a more likely move is one for his West Ham teammate Lanzini.

“I mention a name that hasn’t come up yet, a real phenomenon: West Ham’s Lanzini,” he told the website.

“They (Lanzini & Anderson) don’t actually play, because coach Moyes gives more practical players space.

“Felipe won’t come back because the managers in Lazio don’t like the horses to come back.

“Lanzini, who is returning from an injury, was valued at 50 million two summers ago. He’s a phenomenal player, able to emulate David Silva, and he costs 15 million.”
